Robbie van Leeuwen cleverly took the Big 3 Bango song 1963 bar by bar and chord by chord and transposed it to the rock vibe of 1969. It was a blatant rip off that Robbie ( not the other members of the band) has lived comfortably off the Royalties ever since.

Venus well interpreted by Shocking Blue was a DIRECT bar by bar chord by chord lift from the 1965 Big 3 " the bango song" Just listen and see.

I instantly loved this tune. The very first time I heard it came from this artist sometime in the early 70s. I didn't much care for Banana group version that came later.

She does what she sings; making every man mad..

The 80's really ruined everything good from the 60's with taste and music.

Mariska's voice and tone in this song is really powerful. She takes a Shocking blue (Robbie) song and makes it hers. Just can't take my eyes of her even though I've watched this many times ,the same with all the early footage of SB . 🎸❤️👍
